In short
- Your projects, scripts and videos stay on your computer.
- The app sends the voice audio of a video to our server to time every word (via Deepgram). We don’t keep it.
- You sign in with Google; Stripe handles payments. We never see your card number.
- We collect product analytics (features used, errors). No screen recording, never the content of your videos.
- Claude, Fish Audio and other services you connect are your own accounts; the app talks to them directly.
- We don’t sell your data or show ads.
Who we are
cuttune is provided by [SELLER NAME], an individual based in Poland, [ADDRESS] (“we”). We control the data described here. Contact: support@cuttune.app.
What we collect
- Account. From Google sign-in: name, email, profile picture, account ID (stored with Supabase). To identify you and check your purchase. Basis: contract.
- Purchases. From Stripe: payment status, amount, country, email, customer ID. Never your full card number. Basis: contract; legal obligation (accounting).
- Devices. One purchase works on up to two computers, so the app sends a random device ID, app version and Windows version when it checks your licence. Basis: contract.
- Voice audio. Sent to our server and on to Deepgram, which returns word timings. Used only for that and not stored by us afterwards. With your own Deepgram key, the app sends it to Deepgram directly. Basis: contract.
- Product analytics. Usage events, errors and crash reports sent to PostHog, linked to your account. No screen recording and no content of your scripts, voiceovers, images or videos. Basis: legitimate interest in a working product. You can ask us to delete it.
- Support emails. Kept to help you and for our records.
What stays on your computer
Projects, channel settings and the keys you add for other services. Keys are encrypted by Windows (DPAPI) and never sent to us, logged or put into AI prompts.
Your other accounts
The app sends your requests (for example, the topic and script to Claude, the script text to Fish Audio) from your computer to the services you sign in to, under your account and their terms. We don’t receive that data or your passwords for those services.
This website
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (ad features off) and loads fonts from Google Fonts. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are set only after you click “Accept”; elsewhere they are on by default and you can decline. Change your choice with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Basis: consent (EU/UK/CH); legitimate interest elsewhere.
Service providers
Supabase (sign-in, database), Google (sign-in, website analytics), Stripe (payments), PostHog (product analytics), Deepgram (word timing), and our hosting and email providers [TO COMPLETE]. Some are in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Account data: while you have an account, deleted within 30 days after you close it.
- Billing records: as long as Polish tax law requires (currently 5 years after the end of the year).
- Voice audio: not stored after word timing.
- Product analytics: up to 24 months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and take your data with you. You can withdraw consent at any time. Email support@cuttune.app; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority (UODO, uodo.gov.pl) or the one in your country.
Children and changes
cuttune is not for children under 16. If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and tell you by email or in the app.
